whoops im on to better things thank you 😊💁🏻♀️ #jcpenneybeauty
Wow, it feels surreal to finally say this, but I actually quit JCPenney today! If you've ever seen those 'awkward JCPenney photos' floating around, you might know what I mean. I've been called the 'JCPenney Girl' by some, and honestly, there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that makes you understand why those pictures exist! Working at JCPenney was... an experience. I met some incredible coworkers, but let's just say not every day was a photoshoot for a fashion magazine. There were countless moments that could easily become viral 'awkward JCPenney photos' if someone had been snapping candidly. From mismatched displays to customers trying on clothes in the weirdest ways, or even just our own team trying to make the best of a long shift, the humor was always there. Sometimes it was the lighting, other times it was just the sheer absurdity of retail life. I've seen the memes, and I've chuckled, thinking, 'Yep, that could be us!' There's a certain charm to the unexpected, though. My coworkers and I often shared a laugh over situations that, from an outsider's perspective, might look completely out of place. It wasn't always easy, and there were definitely days I felt like I was part of a living, breathing 'awkward photo' album. But today, I made the big decision. I quit. It’s a bittersweet feeling, but I'm truly on to better things. It feels like I'm finally 'blowing up' in my own way, stepping into a new chapter. I'm grateful for the lessons learned, the friendships forged, and even for the quirky, 'awkward' memories. It taught me resilience and gave me stories I'll probably tell for years. If you're out there working a job that has its own brand of 'awkward moments,' just know you're not alone, and sometimes, those are the stories that make you grow the most. Here's to new beginnings and leaving the 'JCPenney Girl' era behind!
