✨ Pros: Traverse City was absolutely beautiful. Since it’s right on Lake Michigan, we were able to stroll by the marina, watch the boats, and enjoy the fresh lake breeze. The downtown area is full of charm, cute bookstores, unique boutiques, cozy pubs, antique shops (loved Wilson’s Antiques!), and some seriously good food (The Little Fleet was a highlight). Everything was walkable, and parking was surprisingly easy. Outdoor adventures like hiking at Sleeping Bear Dunes, mushroom hunting in Lake Ann, and spotting wildlife along the Boardman River made the trip even better.
👀 Cons: Weather can be unpredictable—sunny one minute, cloudy the next—so pack layers. It can also get crowded during peak tourist season, especially around the dunes.
