Hot Take: I Regret My Baby’s Name

Okay, not exactly regret, because I honestly think it’s a beautiful name and we get tons of compliments on it. The problem is… it’s not a super common name. Which means people are constantly mispronouncing it or asking how it’s spelled. And after a while, that gets exhausting.

Growing up as an Abigail, I absolutely hated having such a common name. There were always multiple Abbys in every class or group I was in. My husband’s name is also fairly common, so neither of us knew what it was like to have to constantly correct people. Now, we do🙃
