When NOT to take a pregnancy test…

Just a reminder… Pregnancy tests measure the level of hCG in your urine. Those levels rise quickly in early pregnancy, but they can also fluctuate throughout. If they’re super high, the test window can actually get “flooded” and look negative. If they’re lower later on, the line might look faint. But here’s the thing- a line is a line, even if it’s barely there!! You can’t be “a little pregnant.” You either are or you aren’t. Pregnancy tests aren’t meant to confirm that you’re still pregnant, and using them like that will only stress you out. You’ve got this momma!🫶

I saw a line on two of mine saw a dr before taking it and her test said no but she ran urine hcg at 2wks and day before seeing her I had a heavy bleed (not my period), went to get blood hcg two weeks after I saw the tests with the lines and it was negative. my boyfriend and I think id had a miscarriage and the faint line we saw was hcg leaving my body but my dr swears I wasn't pregnant despite 2 tests showing lines

Just so you know even if you miscarry while pregnant, the lingering hcg will make a test positive. So if you get a negative during a confirmed pregnancy, the test is likely defective
