Why is nobody talking about how good this place is??
Mother’s Day dinner at The Coco Deli ✨
Honestly thought it was just one of those “pretty café for photos” places…
but the food was ACTUALLY good 😭
First of all… 🌽 Salted Egg Corn Ribs
THIS was the MVP of the table.
How is the corn so flavourful???
The moment I dipped it into the sauce beside, I went completely silent and focused on eating 🌚
🍄 Wild Mushroom Soup was insane too.
So good that I almost wanted to ask if they could sell me the whole pot 😭
The mushroom flavour was super rich and smooth.
Definitely not the usual canned mushroom soup taste from random western cafés.
🥗 Mediterranean Watermelon Salad
When I first saw watermelon + mint + grapes together I was like:
“there’s no way this works…”
But wow.
I take my words back.
Eating everything together somehow tastes SO refreshing and layered.
Very fresh, light, and surprisingly addictive.
🥙 Hummus & Pita Bread though…
This one wasn’t really for me 😂
It had a stronger herby/spice kind of taste, but my family actually loved it.
So I think it really depends on your preference!
🥩 The beef was really good too.
Super juicy and tender, not hard to chew at all.
Their sauce made it even better.
🧀 And lastly — Salmon & Leek Maccheroni
Cheese lovers PLEASE order this.
Creamy but somehow not too heavy or jelak at all.
The salmon was cooked perfectly too.
It’s the kind of dish where you keep eating and suddenly realise…
“uh oh, I’m gonna crave this again.”
Overall: 8.5/10 ⭐️
Definitely a café I’d come back to again 🫶
⚠️ Small reminder:
Please make a booking before going 😭
Walk-ins usually end up waiting forever LOL
