Holiday Breakfast
Today is Martin Luther King Day (and the Inauguration).
I chose days of significance when it comes to giving my dragons a little extra treat with their breakfast or dinner.
This little extra treat is packed full of benefits!
½ of a chicken egg (I have 2 dragons, so I split 1 in half).
-A chicken egg typically contains around 6 grams of protein as well as various vitamins and minerals.
-Moderation is key. They should only eat up to ½ an egg every 2-3 weeks.
-They cat eat both the egg yolk and the egg white.
-They can eat hard-boiled and scrambled eggs. They must be cooked.
-When cooking your eggs, do not use any non-stick products such as oils, milk, butter, etc.
*I just microwave mine in a microwave-safe cup for 30 seconds*
-Any questions? Just ask!
Giving your bearded or other lizards special treats on significant days can enhance their meals and enrich their diet. Chicken eggs are a fantastic source of protein, containing around 6 grams per half egg, along with vital vitamins and minerals that your pets need. Remember that moderation is essential; your reptiles should only indulge in this treat every 2-3 weeks to maintain a balanced diet. When preparing the eggs, make sure they are thoroughly cooked without any non-stick products such as oils or butter, as these may harm your dragons. You can easily cook eggs by microwaving them in a cup, ensuring they are safe and easy to digest for your pets. Any special occasion can be a reason to celebrate with food, making even an ordinary breakfast for your dragons feel festive and exciting.
