Haha GET IT?! 🩵🌊🐚 Celebrated @Alexa Fay | Mom Of 2 birthday this past weekend (vlog to come) on @TikiBoatLongIsland 🤍 on this day, I got so many comments on my stories asking me if I got nauseous or how I even went on a boat. Truthfully, I was able to take some anti- nausea but at the same points I definitely felt sick. I'm at the point where I felt like my pregnancy has taken me too long to get better and I'm still dealing with what they call pregnancy sickness, (which should be called all day sickness) but I don't want it to be another reason I keep saying no to things. Pregnancy is not a death sentence and I intend to balance rest and also enjoying life when I can🤍 #twinpregnancy #pregnancytok #twinmom #pregnancyjourney
Pregnancy sickness, often humorously called "all day sickness," can be incredibly challenging, especially during a twin pregnancy where symptoms tend to be more intense. From my personal experience, it’s important to acknowledge the difficulty without letting it completely halt your life. Anti-nausea medication can be a helpful tool, but it’s equally vital to listen to your body and rest when needed. One thing I have learned is that social and joyful moments, like celebrating a friend’s birthday on a boat, provide a refreshing break from the constant discomfort. While being on a boat raised questions from friends about whether I would feel sick, preparing with medication and mental readiness helped me participate and enjoy the experience fully. This balance of self-care and social engagement is key to maintaining mental wellness during pregnancy. For those struggling with persistent pregnancy sickness, remember that your feelings are valid and shared by many. It's okay to say no sometimes, but it’s also rewarding to say yes when you can safely do so. Tracking your symptoms and identifying triggers may help you manage nausea better. Staying hydrated, eating small frequent meals, and getting fresh air when possible also contribute to feeling better. Most importantly, never equate pregnancy sickness with a loss of freedom. Pregnancy isn’t a death sentence—it’s a journey. Balancing rest with opportunities to enjoy life, even during tough days, creates meaningful memories and sustains your emotional health. Whether you’re a twin mom or expecting one baby, embracing these moments helps normalize the experience and empowers you through the ups and downs of pregnancy.
