Let’s Talk Goodreads Goals 2024

This year I set out to read 50 books. Well…we’re a little over a month away from 2025 and I have 7 books to go! I am and English teacher by profession so I might have more time than the average person to read books. So I introduce you to…short books!! Length doesn’t matter as long as the content is there right? Here are a few short book recs for your December to help you get closer to that goal. Additional perks of these books:

- they’ll get you in the Christmas spirit

- you can get them for free if you have an Amazon Prime membership

- written by established authors

With busy schedules, especially around the holidays, shorter books or novellas can provide a satisfying reading experience without the time commitment of longer novels. Not only do they fit seamlessly into your hectic days, but they also cater to various genres, making them versatile additions to your reading list. Short stories are particularly appealing during the festive season. Many authors craft tales that capture the spirit of Christmas, offering joy and warmth that aligns perfectly with holiday cheer. For example, Tessa Bailey's "Merry Ever After" features heartwarming romance that brings the joy of the season alive, while Ali Hazelwood's "Cruel Winter with You" blends nostalgia and rekindled friendships against a wintery backdrop. Moreover, if you have an Amazon Prime membership, many of these titles are available at no extra cost, adding additional value to your reading goals. Engaging in these compact works can also spark your interest in exploring more from the authors as they often publish longer works or series. So, as you set your Goodreads goals for 2024, consider incorporating short books that not only align with your timelines but also enhance your reading pleasure. Experience the joy of reading without the pressure of lengthy commitments and discover new favorites that will keep you turning the pages. In conclusion, embracing short books not only makes reading more manageable but also proves to be a delightful way to enjoy literature that resonates with your holiday spirit. Happy reading!
