GRWM to WFH 🫶✨

Transitioning to working from home (WFH) can blur the lines between personal and professional life. I used to just roll out of bed and open my laptop, thinking it would save time, but I quickly realized how much I missed the mental shift that a morning routine provides. That's why I developed my GRWM (Get Ready With Me) for WFH ritual – it's not just about looking presentable, but about kickstarting my day with intention and energy, making me feel more productive and focused. For me, a successful WFH morning starts even before I get out of bed. I try to avoid immediately checking emails. Instead, I spend a few minutes just breathing deeply or doing a quick stretch. This helps clear my mind and signals to my body that the day is beginning. Then, the first thing I do is hydrate! A big glass of water with lemon is my go-to. It truly wakes up my system and makes me feel refreshed. Next up is my mindful skincare routine. Even though I'm not leaving the house, I never skip this step. It's a moment of self-care that feels incredibly grounding. It's enough to feel confident for a video call without feeling like I've spent too much time getting ready. It’s all about enhancing natural features, not masking them. Choosing an outfit is also key. While the temptation to stay in pajamas is strong, I've found that putting on comfortable yet presentable clothes helps me mentally switch into 'work mode.' This doesn't mean formal wear; it could be a nice soft sweater and leggings, or a casual dress. The goal is to feel comfortable enough to focus, but dressed enough to feel professional and ready to tackle tasks. Finally, before diving into work, I brew my coffee or tea and prepare a quick, healthy breakfast. While my coffee is brewing, I like to jot down my top three priorities for the day. This small act of planning helps me stay organized and gives me a clear sense of direction. This entire GRWM for WFH routine, from waking up to sitting down at my desk, usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour. It truly transformed my WFH experience, making me feel more balanced, productive, and less prone to burnout.
