Need to know: Hand Tied Extensions🪷🍵🕯️🤎

Here’s my experience:

I had my extensions in for 10 months! I got them for my wedding, and loved them so much I kept them in. They still have plenty of life left in them if I ever choose to reinstall.

📒Notes:

- I had medium length hair, and wanted to have 24” hair installed

- because my hair was not long enough to blend 24” hair, my stylist helped me choose a 22” length that suited my hair color

- the installation did not take long. It was not painful, but the following three days, I had a massive headache. Tylenol helped, but did not completely take away pain.

- the pain went away completely on the third day. I never had any pain or discomfort after this!

- they help with confidence if you struggle with the looks of your hair. However , you have to put work into them to keep them looking fresh.

🪩tips:

- ALWAYS blow dry your roots and top of extensions after washing. This prevents mold growth on seams

- use heatless curlers to aid longevity of your extensions

- wash just the crown of your head if you wish to freshen up your hair, but don’t have the time/ energy to wash the entire head! This is a tip that saved me many times

- hair oil AFTER using heat products, not before

- if you like to wear two braids: ask your stylist to cut the row(s) in half, and tie in place with a slight gap in the back middle of head. This will allow you to wear braids without the seam showing

... Read moreHand tied extensions have become a popular choice for many looking to enhance their hair length and volume. They are designed to be lightweight, comfortable, and secure, blending well with natural hair for a seamless look. One of the key advantages of these extensions is their versatility; they allow for various styling options yet require certain care to maintain their appearance. It's important to note that the cost of hand-tied extensions ranges significantly, typically between $500 and $2000, influenced by salon quality and brand choice. Regular upkeep appointments every 8-10 weeks are necessary to keep them looking fresh. While many enjoy the benefits of added length and volume, not all hair types may be suitable for hand-tied extensions, necessitating a consultation with a stylist to determine the best options for individual needs. Furthermore, proper care such as avoiding heat before applying products and maintaining cleanliness at the roots ensures the longevity of the extensions while protecting natural hair health. If you're considering investing in hand tied extensions, weighing the pros and cons while understanding your own hair's compatibility is crucial for an optimal experience.
