Piercing Update

I’ve gotten a few new piercings since my last update. I would not suggest comparing your pain to what mine is. I have a really high pain level. I will say my rook has been my most painful piercing by far. As for least painful has been my conch (which has been known to be painful) but when my piercer did it she was fast and I never felt the needle go through. I genuinely had to ask if she was done or not.

All of my piercings have healed beautifully so far. Obvious things someone should know about them is to not touch them. I still occasionally touch mine but it’s usually only when cleaning them. I also use a piercing bump oil as a preventative against any bumps or irritations I may get which helps incredibly with the healing process.

If ever you feel like getting a new piercing… get it… and if it does end up being something you don’t want anymore you can easily just take it out.

For instance, pain varies significantly between different types of piercings; my rook was notably painful, rated 8/10, while my conch was surprisingly gentle, rated a mere 3/10. Proper aftercare is essential for healing. It's important to avoid touching your piercings to prevent irritation. I recommend using a piercing bump oil to combat potential bumps or irritations, which can be vital for maintaining the look and feel of your new piercings. If you're hesitant about getting a piercing due to pain fears, remember that each individual's pain tolerance is different. What may hurt one person could be a breeze for another. So, if you want to try a new piercing, go for it! And if it's not for you, it's as simple as removing it. Take the plunge and enjoy the journey of self-expression through body art!
