Hey everyone! So, I finally plucked up the courage to try something I've been eyeing for ages: a high frontal ponytail! As a total newbie, I was a bit nervous about tackling a lace frontal for this type of updo, but I'm so excited to share how it went and what I learned. This was literally my 1st Time doing a Frontal installation specifically for a *high Ponytail*, and I hope my experience helps you if you're thinking of trying it! First things first, what exactly is a frontal ponytail? Essentially, it's a sleek, seamless ponytail created using a lace frontal, which gives the illusion that the hair is growing directly from your scalp. The 'high' aspect just means the ponytail sits higher up on your head, giving a really chic and snatched look that can instantly elevate any outfit. For my install, I actually used one frontal and one closure to ensure I had enough coverage and density for that perfect, voluminous high ponytail without any tracks showing. It was an interesting technique that gave me a lot of flexibility. My biggest tip for anyone attempting this for the first time is patience! Installing a frontal, especially when you're planning a high ponytail, requires careful placement. I started by prepping my natural hair, making sure it was flat and secure. Then, I focused on melting the lace frontal to my hairline. This step is crucial for that natural, scalp-like appearance. I used a good quality lace adhesive and took my time, gently pressing the lace down and using a melting band to help it set perfectly. Once the frontal was secure, the real challenge for the high ponytail began. I carefully brushed all the hair upwards, making sure there were no bumps or stray hairs. This is where having a closure helped, as it allowed me to seamlessly blend the hair from the back into the high ponytail. I then gathered the hair at the crown of my head and secured it tightly with a strong elastic band. To hide the elastic and give it a polished finish, I took a small section of hair from the ponytail and wrapped it around the base, securing it with a bobby pin. You can also add cute accessories to personalize your frontal pony style! Overall, I was so proud of my first-time high frontal ponytail! It definitely took some effort, but the results were stunning. If you're looking for different frontal ponytail hairstyles, don't be afraid to experiment. You can do a sleek straight look, add some soft curls to the pony itself, or even try a frontal ponytail with a bun for a more sophisticated updo. The possibilities are endless once you get the hang of the basic install. Don't be scared to try it – you got this!
