New to Lemon8! Excited for Mutuals💖
Hi! These are some outfits from this year I wanted to highlight for my first post! This is one of maybe three introductory posts. One of my main interest is fashion🤩I have so much fun expressing myself through clothes. I’m a fan of many different styles the majority of what I wear everyday has at least a hint of Harajuku in it. It’s the main foundation of most things I do, but aside from that I pull a lot of inspo from Jfashion ex: gyaru, egl, kawaii kei, & v-kei ect. a lot of other alternative subcultures like goth & styles like y2k, glam, & corporate/academia💖
As fashion trends continuously evolve, understanding the impact of subcultures like Harajuku, gyaru, and egl is essential. Harajuku fashion, originating from Tokyo, is known for its eclectic mix of colors, patterns, and influences. It embraces creativity and self-expression, making it a favorite among fashion enthusiasts. Additionally, the influence of Jfashion encompasses various styles, including kawaii kei and v-kei, appealing to those who enjoy playful and dramatic aesthetics. Exploring these styles can provide insight into how fashion communicates identity and cultural messages. Alternative fashion avenues such as goth, y2k, glam, and corporate/academia styles also highlight the diverse expressions available in the fashion world today. Each of these styles not only reflects individual personality but also resonates with social trends and movements. By embracing a mixture of these influences, fashionistas can curate a wardrobe that tells their unique story while fostering connections with others in the community.
