Traveling with a toddler and a stroller on public transportation can be a true test of patience and physical endurance. One practical tip that has helped me is to let others board before you, which allows a bit more space and calmness when maneuvering a stroller onto the vehicle. It’s also a good idea to familiarize yourself with the stops and schedules ahead of time to minimize waiting periods. Above all, self-care is key. Managing a stroller and a child while in transit can be physically demanding, sometimes causing soreness or pain, like hip discomfort. Listening to your body and finding small moments to rest during your journey can prevent burnout. Public transit parenting involves balancing your child’s comfort and your own well-being, all while facing a variety of unexpected challenges. Embracing these moments with patience and resilience turns them into valuable memories and stories worth sharing with fellow parents.
