GRWM
Not going to lie…today is a struggle. I love my copper IUD, but the heavy days are definitely heavier. Unfortunately, I’ve already used my WFH day so into the office we go!
Kept the outfit simple and comfortable but still pulled together.
Some days are just about getting through…and today is one of them.
Having a copper IUD can be a game-changer for effective contraception, but it often comes with the challenge of heavier menstrual bleeding. I've personally experienced how these heavy days can make routine activities, like going to the office, feel even more overwhelming. One tip I've found helpful is planning ahead—using work-from-home days strategically to avoid commuting during the heaviest days, if possible. When it’s unavoidable to go into the office, comfort and ease of movement become my top priorities. I usually opt for simple outfits like thrifted cardigans, stretchy pants, and breathable tops that also look polished enough for professional settings. Accessories such as small gold hoops or a belt with subtle hardware add a touch of style without sacrificing comfort. Dealing with period-related struggles also means being prepared—carrying stain-removal wipes or an extra layer to cover up any unexpected leaks helps me feel more confident throughout the day. I’ve learned that embracing comfort doesn’t mean compromising on looking put together; instead, it’s about being kind to yourself and dressing in a way that supports your wellbeing. Another personal insight is the importance of good sleep hygiene to better manage fatigue during heavy periods. Avoiding doom scrolling and setting a calming night routine has helped me feel more rested and ready to face the day, even on tough mornings. Overall, having a flexible wardrobe and a proactive mindset can make these heavy period days more manageable, both physically and mentally.
