I Didn’t Expect to Love Parc Safari This Much
Day three in Montréal took us to Parc Safari, and it ended up being one of our favorite days of the trip. So much so that Teddy has been asking to go back.
The drive-through safari was a huge hit. Teddy loved feeding the Highland cows (who definitely have no concept of personal space), watching the bison lounge around, and seeing just how close some of the animals were willing to get to the car.
After the safari, we headed to the water park to escape the heat. Teddy spent the afternoon floating the lazy river and racing back to the water slides over and over. It was the perfect way to cool off after exploring the park.
If you’re visiting Montreal with young kids and have a car, I’d absolutely recommend adding Parc Safari to your itinerary. Between the drive-through animals, walk-through exhibits, and water park, it easily filled an entire day.

Visiting Parc Safari offers a wonderful blend of adventure and relaxation, especially for families traveling with children. From my personal experience, the drive-through safari stands out as a highlight that engages kids and adults alike. Seeing animals like the Highland cows so up close and feeding them creates lasting memories, especially when the cows approach the vehicles without any hesitation. Watching majestic bison resting nearby adds to the safari’s authenticity and charm. Beyond the safari, the water park is a fantastic way to cool off, especially during the hotter months. I noticed how the lazy river and water slides kept the kids entertained for hours, allowing parents to relax and enjoy the serene environment. It's also great to have these varied activities in one location, as it gives families the flexibility to pace their day without rushing. For those planning a trip, having a car is truly beneficial since Parc Safari is outside of downtown Montréal. This makes it accessible and worth dedicating a full day to explore. The park also features several walk-through exhibits, allowing visitors to interact more intimately with animals, adding educational value to the fun. Another tip is to prepare some snacks or try some of the on-site food options, such as Tangy BBQ flavors, which enhance the whole experience. Whether it’s a summer vacation or a weekend getaway while in Canada, Parc Safari offers a unique, family-friendly experience that combines wildlife discovery with leisurely activities in a picturesque setting.
