It’s never too late to slow down and pray✨
It’s never too late to slow down, take a deep breath, and make space for the Lord.
Sometimes our lives can become so busy that we forget to slow down, pray and spend quality time with the Lord.
Prayer can be done in many forms and in many ways, but to keep it simple, I invite you to find time in your schedule and dedicate this time only for the Lord and for interior silence. Take time to unplug and get away from the noise if you can, and rest in silence before the Lord.
I highly recommend the morning before you start anything. Speak to the Lord and allow Him to speak to you. This can be formal or informal. Your prayer doesn’t have to be fancy or sound extravagant. A beautiful and simple prayer can be as simple as “Good morning Lord, here I am and I give this day to you.” Start small and continue to show up before the Lord intentionally, wholeheartedly and purposefully.
As you begin to introduce prayer into your life or make it a priority once again, I then invite you to slowly start making everything else into a prayer. What do I mean by this?
God isn’t an add on in our daily life. He should be the center focus of all things that we do. For instance, washing dishes, meeting Jesus in a friend, changing diapers, working, etc can all become a prayer. However, although God can be found in these extraordinary ordinary moments, let us also continue to set aside time where we can just be intimate before the Lord one on one. Just as the Lord pursues you, I invite you to also pursue Him.
May this be a reminder for you today to take some time to slow down, pray and spend genuine quality time with the Lord.
If you get distracted during prayer, be gentle with yourself and patiently bring yourself back to the Lord.
St. Teresa of Calcutta once said:
“Prayer is as necessary as the air, as the blood in our bodies, as anything to keep us alive – to keep us alive to the grace of God.”
Prayer comes from the heart and is a look towards Heaven.

When incorporating prayer into your life, remember that it doesn’t need to be perfect. If distractions arise, gently guide your thoughts back to Him. St. Teresa of Calcutta emphasized the necessity of prayer for spiritual vitality, equating it to essential elements of life. A heart centered in prayer encourages a deeper relationship with God, reminding us that every moment can be an opportunity to engage more fully with our faith. Amen!
