Target Protein Finds!
With the new year, I’m trying to focus on upping my protein intake, as I find that it’s something I never eat enough of, no matter how much I try 😂 Here are a couple high protein items I found at Target today!
After my recent Target trip, where I snagged some fantastic high-protein pizza, nutrient-packed pasta, and delicious protein granola, I've been on a roll exploring even more ways to effortlessly boost my protein intake from my favorite store. It’s amazing how many convenient and tasty options are available if you know where to look! While those high-protein frozen pizzas are a definite game-changer for a quick, satisfying meal (who knew healthy pizza could taste so good?), and the protein-packed granolas are perfect for breakfast or a snack, I wanted to dive deeper into another category that's crucial for anyone on a protein journey: protein bars. The sheer variety can be overwhelming, but I’ve learned a few tricks to pick the best ones. Target has really stepped up its game when it comes to protein bars. I often find popular brands like Quest, ONE Bar, and Pure Protein right in the same aisle. For me, taste is paramount, but I also keep a keen eye on the macros. I aim for bars with at least 15-20g of protein, lower sugar content (ideally under 5g), and a good amount of fiber to keep me full. For instance, Quest bars are fantastic for their high fiber and low net carbs, making them great for a quick fix. My personal favorites are their Cookies & Cream or Birthday Cake flavors – they genuinely taste like a treat! If you're wondering about specific brands like Barebells cookies & cream protein calories that pop up in searches, while Target might not always carry every niche brand, many of the options they do stock offer similar nutritional profiles and delicious flavors. Always check the nutrition label for protein per serving and total calories to ensure it aligns with your goals. Some bars can pack a lot of calories if you're not careful, so being mindful of portion sizes and overall intake is key. Don't just grab the first one you see; take a moment to compare a few different brands and flavors. Beyond bars, Target is a treasure trove for other quick protein boosts. I always stock up on Greek yogurt – brands like Oikos Triple Zero or Chobani have excellent protein counts with minimal sugar. Cottage cheese is another underrated hero; it’s versatile and packed with protein. And for a grab-and-go option, ready-to-drink protein shakes like Fairlife or Premier Protein are lifesavers on busy mornings. I even found some high-protein veggie burgers and edamame in the frozen section recently, which are great plant-based alternatives. Making protein a priority doesn't have to be boring or difficult. With a little bit of exploration at Target, you can find a diverse range of products, from my initially discovered high-protein pasta to a variety of bars and quick snacks, that make hitting those daily macro goals both enjoyable and sustainable. Happy hunting on your next Target run!
