Clover, the curious prairie dog, was hearing some rather unnatural noises from just outside his burrow. A tiny echoing rumble like a miniature thunderstorm brewing just above ground. Peeking out, Clover discovered John Flusher sitting on a strange chair with his pants around the ankles! He was laughing out loud while reading his book. Clover's whiskers twitched with intrigue as he took in the sight. Though he couldn't decipher the mysterious squiggles and symbols on the paper, he was enchanted by the colorful illustrations that danced across the pages. John, sensing Clover's curious gaze, looked up and smiled. With a warm glance, he began to read aloud. Clover squeaked his approvement and together they finished the story while John finished his business.
