Meet Tobi🌭

Wow, it's already been a month since we welcomed Tobi, our adorable brown and white mini dachshund puppy, into our home! When I first saw him, he was just a tiny furball, and now he's blossomed into this mischievous little character. It's truly a rollercoaster, as the original post mentioned, but every moment, even the puppy training hurdles, is worth it. He's undeniably sooo cute, a fact I'm reminded of daily, especially when he’s wearing his little blue collar or I catch a glimpse of the playful "digital crown" in some photos. Tobi has certainly lived up to his dachshund nature. He's developed quite the personality in just a few weeks! One of his favorite pastimes, as you might guess from the pictures, is sleeping. Whether he's sleeping peacefully on my lap, covered by a cozy gray blanket, or curled up soundly under one, he truly cherishes his nap times. There's nothing quite like the warmth and comfort of a tiny dachshund snuggled up close. It's moments like these, when he's just a soft, warm weight against me, that I feel the strongest bond. He truly is a master of cuddles, and it melts my heart every time he seeks out that closeness. My arm, even the one with the tattoo, has become his favorite pillow, especially if I'm holding a white game controller – he just loves being part of the action, even if it's just sleeping beside me. But it's not all sleepy snuggles! Tobi is also incredibly playful. He absolutely loves his toys, especially his yellow spiky toy, which he carries around with such pride. And yes, he's definitely going through that classic puppy phase where he's an ankle-biter! He'll playfully nip at my gray shoe, reminding me that even though he's tiny, he's got that feisty dachshund spirit. It's all part of the charm, and we're working on redirecting that energy with plenty of chew toys. Dachshunds are such unique dogs, full of character and loyalty. There's a certain pride that comes with owning one of these spirited little hounds. They might be small, but they carry themselves with such confidence, almost like little kings or queens of the house – maybe that’s where the 'digital crown' vibe comes from! Their history as hunting dogs really shines through in their determination and curious nature. It's a joy to watch him explore and learn new things every day. For anyone considering a mini dachshund, be prepared for endless cuteness, but also for a breed that thrives on companionship and a bit of playful mischief. They're incredibly smart and eager to please, making training rewarding, even with the occasional puppy antics. Seeing Tobi grow and learn, and especially seeing him so content and cuddly, makes every moment of the "rollercoaster" totally worth it. He truly is the best!
