A day at the garden 🌸

There's nothing quite like spending a beautiful day immersed in the garden. For me, a 'day in the garden' is more than just a hobby; it's a refreshing escape, a chance to connect with nature, and a truly rewarding experience. It usually starts with a walk-through, coffee in hand, just observing. I love seeing how my green plants are doing, checking for new growth, or simply admiring the vibrant colors that have bloomed overnight. Recently, I dedicated a whole afternoon to planting some new additions. I had a tray of tiny green sprouts that were ready for their new home, and a selection of beautiful purple and pink flowers with sunny yellow centers. I also couldn't resist adding a few more vibrant yellow marigold flowers to my beds. Getting my hands into the dark, moist soil, feeling its texture, is surprisingly therapeutic. I gently placed each plant, making sure they had enough space to flourish. After planting, a good watering is essential, and I love watching the water droplets cling to the petals and leaves, making everything sparkle. My gardening adventure wouldn't be complete without my trusty gardening supplies. My car's trunk is often filled with various tools, pots, and new plant trays. I even have a little bunny statue that guards my supplies, and a fun metal garden stake shaped like a gnome holding a shovel, which always adds a whimsical touch to my garden beds. These little details make the space feel even more personal and inviting. Beyond the planting, a day in the garden also involves maintenance. Deadheading spent blooms, pulling out a few stubborn weeds, or just giving the soil a gentle rake. It’s all part of the process, and each task contributes to the overall beauty and health of the garden. The satisfaction of nurturing these plants, from tiny sprouts to flourishing blooms like those orange and yellow marigold flowers, is immense. But it's not just about the work; it's about the moments of peace. Sitting on a bench, listening to the birds, feeling the sun on my skin, and just breathing in the fresh, earthy scent.
