Old paintings, New app
hi! I'm new here. #paintings #art😍 #artartist
Hey everyone! So excited to finally share a little peek into my recent art journey here on Lemon8. I've been working on a really different project lately, stepping outside my usual comfort zone and experimenting with various themes and shapes. It's been such a fulfilling experience to bring these unique ideas to life on canvas. You might think these look complex, but the key to starting any art project, even if it feels ambitious, is breaking it down. For me, inspiration often comes from nature and the changing seasons. That's how I ended up with these pieces. Even if you're just starting out, thinking about simple, evocative themes can make painting feel easy and approachable. First up, I created this striking hexagonal painting featuring a black crow perched on a bare branch against a mesmerizing starry night sky with a luminous full moon. I wanted to capture that mysterious, quiet beauty of twilight. The hexagonal shape really adds a unique touch, don't you think? It’s currently displayed on my white shelf next to a candelabra and a clock, adding to its atmospheric vibe. Then there's this vibrant round painting! It depicts a classic orange pumpkin with lush green leaves and winding brown vines set against a rich dark purple background. This one really screams autumn to me. The round canvas gives it such a soft, welcoming feel. It perfectly complements the seasonal decor. Another favorite is this emotive round painting showing two hands cupping a glowing candle flame against a deep dark red background. There's something so comforting and symbolic about a single flame, isn't there? I aimed to capture that warm, protective feeling. This piece feels very personal and serene. And finally, for a touch of intricate detail, I finished this triangular painting. It showcases delicate bare tree branches adorned with a shimmering spiderweb and a small spider peeking out, all set against a stunning bright blue sky. The triangular shape was a fun challenge, and I loved playing with the fine lines of the web. It's a reminder of nature's delicate artistry. When I embark on a new piece, I usually start with a clear visual in mind, sometimes sketching it out first. I love working with acrylics for their versatility and quick drying time. For these, I focused on layering colors to get the depth I wanted, especially in the night sky and the glowing candle. Don't be afraid to experiment with different canvas shapes too – it really pushes your creativity! And don't worry about perfection; it's about enjoying the process of creating your own art. Once I finish a piece, finding the right spot to display it is part of the fun! As you can see, I've placed them on a simple white shelf alongside quaint items like a candelabra and an antique clock. This helps create a cohesive aesthetic and makes the paintings truly pop in their environment. Think about how your surroundings can enhance your artwork! I hope these unique paintings might spark some inspiration for your own creative endeavors. Which one is your favorite? Have you started any 'different projects' recently? I'd love to hear about them in the comments! Let's inspire each other to keep creating beautiful things.
