Pretender o no pretender la realidad?
In life, the tension between pretending and embracing reality is a common struggle many of us face. From my personal experience, pretending to ignore uncomfortable truths might offer temporary relief, but it often leads to deeper dissatisfaction and hindered growth. Embracing reality authentically requires courage but paves the way for genuine self-love and wellbeing. I’ve found that building authenticity starts with self-awareness — understanding what we truly feel and think rather than projecting what we wish or fear. This process involves recognizing the messages we tell ourselves and distinguishing between helpful encouragement and harmful denial. For example, when challenges arise, instead of pretending everything is fine, openly acknowledging difficulties can lead to significant breakthroughs in mindset and emotional health. Moreover, embracing reality is empowering, especially for women striving to claim their power (#mujeresalpoder). It cultivates resilience and a clearer path toward personal goals. Self-love (#amorproprio) grows naturally when we stop hiding and start accepting ourselves wholly — flaws and all. Incorporating small daily practices such as mindful reflection, journaling, or honest conversations with trusted friends can activate (#activate) this authentic living. These habits help pause the impulse to ‘pretend’ and encourage projecting an honest reality. Living this way does not mean embracing negativity; rather, it means constructing a reality that supports our wellness (#bienestar) and happiness. Ultimately, choosing authenticity over illusion enriches our lives, making our personal and social experiences more meaningful and fulfilling.
