I suffer from #drylips

It doesn’t matter how much I’ve scrubbed my lips or drink water I always peel. By scrubbing my lips it holds the dryness off at least for a day.

Many people find that while exfoliation helps temporarily, dryness persists due to underlying factors like environmental exposure, dehydration, or skin sensitivity. Using gentle lip scrubs, such as the Bath & Body Worksilk lip scrub, can help remove dead skin cells and improve the texture of your lips, giving them a smoother feel. However, it’s important not to over-exfoliate, as this can worsen dryness and peeling. Applying a rich, hydrating lip treatment immediately after scrubbing is essential — this is where products like Laneige's Bouncy and Firm lip treatment come into play. They help lock in moisture, promote lip elasticity, and create a protective barrier against external irritants. In addition to topical products, adopting a consistent self-care routine is key. This includes drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated from within, avoiding licking your lips (which can worsen dryness), and using a humidifier in dry environments. Applying lip balms containing nourishing ingredients such as shea butter, ceramides, or hyaluronic acid can further prevent moisture loss. Remember, if your lips continue to peel despite these efforts, it might be a good idea to consult a dermatologist. Sometimes persistent dryness and peeling can indicate an underlying condition like eczema or an allergic reaction. With the right combination of gentle exfoliation, hydrating treatments, and lifestyle adjustments, you can effectively manage dry lips and enjoy a soft, healthy smile.
