That's why I started experimenting with a CLEAN HOMEMADE PRE-WORKOUT DRINK, and let me tell you, it's been a total revelation! Why go the DIY route? For starters, it's incredibly cost-effective. Those fancy tubs add up, and making your own saves a ton of cash. But more importantly, I love having complete control over what goes into my body. No more mystery ingredients! When I make my own homemade pre workout drink, I know exactly what I'm fueling my body with, ensuring it's genuinely clean and beneficial. So, what are some of my favorite ingredients to include in a clean pre workout? Natural Caffeine Boost: Instead of synthetic caffeine, I love using a strong brew of green tea, a shot of espresso, or even a bit of matcha powder. These provide a sustained energy lift without the harsh crash. You can usually find the perfect amount for you with a little experimentation. Electrolytes for Hydration: Sweating during a workout means losing essential minerals. A pinch of Himalayan pink salt and a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice are perfect for replenishing electrolytes naturally. Coconut water is another fantastic option for this! Natural Energy Sources: For quick, sustained energy, I often add a teaspoon of raw honey or maple syrup. If I want something a bit more complex, a small amount of fruit juice (like cherry or pomegranate for their antioxidant benefits) works wonders. Boosters (Optional but great): Sometimes I'll add a dash of ginger for its anti-inflammatory properties or a tiny bit of cayenne pepper for a metabolic kick. Some people also like to add a scoop of collagen for joint support, but that's totally up to personal preference!
