College DIML back on campus
I love weekends because its still so early in the semester I feel like I have so much time in my day to do whatever I want!
Today I decided to do some of my favorite things:
🌞 Tanning
🌞 Hanging with friends
🌞 Froyo
🌞 Going out!
As a college student, I totally get how precious those weekend days can feel, especially early in the semester! It’s like a mini-vacation before the real grind sets in, and I feel like I have so much time to do whatever I want. I love sharing my ‘Day in My Life’ experiences because it helps me remember to savor these moments, and hopefully gives you some ideas for making the most of your own time on campus! It's not just about what you do, but how you make the most of every opportunity. My perfect weekend often kicks off with a relaxed morning. Even if I’m not rushing to class, I still like to have a little routine. After I brush my teeth and get ready, I usually take a moment to plan my day – even if it’s just mentally. Sometimes, I’ll even pull out a classic college move and decide to get crafty, cutting my shorts to give them a fresh look for the warmer days, or maybe tackling another small DIY project for my dorm room. It’s a fun, budget-friendly way to personalize my space or update my wardrobe without spending a ton. One of my absolute favorite weekend activities is soaking up the sun. Finding a good spot on campus or even a nearby park for tanning is pure bliss. It’s a great way to relax, listen to some music, and just decompress after a busy week. Plus, it's always better when you can gather a few friends – it quickly turns into a mini-social event! Speaking of friends, making time to just hang out, whether it's grabbing coffee, exploring campus, or just chilling in the common room, is what truly makes college life so special and enriches your experience. Later in the day, especially if we’re planning to go out, there’s always an outfit change! Deciding what to wear for a casual froyo run versus a night out with friends is half the fun. I always try to have a few versatile pieces that can be dressed up or down, making transitions easy. And speaking of froyo, that’s a non-negotiable for me! There’s something so satisfying about customizing your own cup with all the toppings. When we decide to go out, it’s usually to explore a new spot near campus or revisit a favorite. It’s all about creating those memorable moments and making the most of the vibrant campus atmosphere. It’s easy to get caught up in schoolwork during the week, so using weekends wisely for both relaxation and social connection is key. While it’s tempting to completely forget about studies, I try to sneak in a little planning for the week ahead, just so I can fully enjoy my downtime without guilt. What are your go-to weekend activities in college? I'd love to hear them! Every college DIML is unique, but the goal is always to make it enjoyable and rejuvenating, setting you up for success both socially and academically.

Weekends are for recharging before the chaos starts again on Monday. I feel this on a spiritual level.
