Breaking Bread at the Mustard Seed with Stacey

🍞Just a Little Daily Bread…🍞

Matthew 5:6 ~

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”

There are many things in this world that promise satisfaction… yet leave us empty.

Success.

Approval.

More possessions.

More recognition.

But Jesus reminds us that the only hunger worth pursuing is a hunger for Him.

When our hearts crave His presence…

When we long for His truth…

When we seek His righteousness more than anything else…

He promises we will be filled.

Not temporarily.

Not halfway.

Not with leftovers.

But with a deep, soul-satisfying fullness that only comes from the Bread of Life.

Just like a warm loaf placed on the table nourishes the body, the Word of God nourishes the soul. When we sit at His table daily, we discover that His grace never runs dry and His mercy is always fresh.

So today, pull up a chair.

Open His Word.

Receive His love.

Let your heart be nourished.

Because when Jesus feeds your soul, you will never walk away empty.

Lord,

Thank You for being the Bread of Life that satisfies every hunger in my heart. Help me seek You above everything else this world offers. Feed my spirit with Your truth, Your presence, and Your righteousness today. Fill me so completely that I overflow with Your love to others.

Amen! 🤍

... Read moreIn my own journey of faith, I've often experienced the gap between worldly satisfaction and true spiritual fulfillment. The daily hustle and pursuit of success, applause, or material possessions can feel rewarding momentarily, but these never bring the profound peace my soul desires. Reflecting on Matthew 5:6, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled," reminds me that seeking God above all else nourishes the deepest parts of my heart. Just like Stacey shares in Breaking Bread at the Mustard Seed, sitting daily with the Word of God is like enjoying warm bread that strengthens from within. Personally, when I commit time each day to open the Bible and immerse myself in God’s promises, I find a refreshing renewal and a fullness that no achievement can provide. This isn’t about fleeting satisfaction; it’s about a lasting relationship where grace abounds and mercy is ever-present. It’s a divine nourishment that sustains during hard times and fuels purpose during seasons of growth. Pulling up a chair at God’s table each day has transformed my outlook. I’ve learned to surrender my cravings for external approval and possessions, redirecting that hunger toward His truth and righteousness. This has empowered me to extend love and grace to others, overflowing from the fullness He provides. For anyone feeling empty despite worldly gain, I encourage making space for God’s presence daily. Like a warm loaf of bread shared at a family table, His Word strengthens, comforts, and fills us beyond measure. When Jesus feeds the soul, we walk away deeply satisfied, no longer chasing the empty promises around us. So join this journey of faith and experience the true Bread of Life that sustains all hunger and thirst with an everlasting satisfaction.
