🌾Stillness Saturday ~ Sit at the Table🌾
🌾Stillness Saturday ~ Sit at the Table🌾
🍞Just a Little Daily Bread…🍞
Psalm 46:10 ~
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
In a world that constantly pushes us to hurry, achieve, and keep going, God gently invites us to something different.
Stillness.
Stillness isn’t weakness.
Stillness is trust.
When we pause long enough to sit at the table with Him, we remember something powerful…
God is already working in places we cannot see.
The seeds we’ve planted in faith…
The prayers we’ve whispered through tears…
The steps we’ve taken in obedience…
None of them are wasted.
Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is rest in the presence of the One who holds it all together.
So today, take a deep breath.
Sit at the table.
Break a little bread with Jesus.
Let His peace settle over your heart.
Because even when life feels busy around you, God is still God… and He is still working.
Lord, help me quiet my heart today. Teach me to trust You in the still moments as much as the busy ones. Remind me that You are working even when I cannot see it. Thank You for inviting me to sit at Your table and rest in Your presence. Amen! 🤍

In my experience, embracing stillness as a part of my faith journey has profoundly changed how I cope with the daily pressures and uncertainties of life. The verse Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God," serves as a steady reminder that rest and trust are not signs of weakness but powerful acts of faith. Sitting at the table with God, even if just for a few moments each day, helps me re-center and realign my heart with His will. It’s in these still moments I often sense His presence most deeply—a peace that quiets my racing thoughts and worries. When I break bread during these times, symbolically or literally, it becomes a sacred ritual that sustains my spirit. I've noticed that planting seeds of faith through prayer and obedience doesn't always yield visible results immediately, but trusting God’s timing strengthens my perseverance. Even when life rushes by, these pauses of stillness remind me that God’s work is ongoing, even beyond my sight. This intentional stillness invites me to watch for subtle answers to prayer and God’s movement in unexpected ways. It also encourages deeper obedience, as resting in God’s presence refuels my spirit to step out in faith when called. For anyone feeling overwhelmed, I encourage making space each day to sit quietly, breathe deeply, and invite God to meet you at the table. Trust that your time in stillness is never wasted; it nourishes your faith and deepens your relationship with God, who holds everything together.
