Sharing God’s Word Saturday ~ You Carry the Bread
🌾Sharing God’s Word Saturday ~ You Carry the Bread🌾
Breaking Bread at the Mustard Seed with Stacey
🍞Just a Little Daily Bread…🍞
Matthew 4:4 ~
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
There is something powerful about being fed by God’s Word…
but there is something even more powerful about sharing it.
So many people are walking around spiritually hungry…
tired, discouraged, searching for hope…
and they don’t even realize that what they need is already inside of them.
That verse that carried you through your storm…
That word God whispered in your quiet place…
That truth that broke chains off your mind…
That is not just for you. That is bread meant to be broken and shared.
You don’t have to preach a sermon.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
Sometimes sharing God’s Word looks like…
• Sending a scripture to a friend
• Posting a verse on your page
• Speaking life into someone who feels defeated
• Simply saying, “God hasn’t forgotten you”
Every time you share His Word,
you are planting seeds that will grow.
And just like a mustard seed…
it may start small…
but God will use it to become something greater than you ever imagined.
So don’t hold back today.
Break the bread.
Share the Word.
Let God do the multiplying. 🙌🏼
Lord, thank You for feeding me with Your Word. Help me not to keep it to myself. Give me boldness and sensitivity to share what You’ve given me with others. Use my voice, my story, and even the smallest seeds to bring life, hope, and encouragement to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🤍

The idea that "the word of God is bread" is so profound, yet sometimes we skim over its depth. When I first encountered this concept, it truly shifted my perspective on how I engage with my faith. Just like our bodies need physical bread to survive and thrive, our spirits crave and depend on God's Word for nourishment. It's not just a nice thought; it's a fundamental truth that sustains us through every season of life. I remember a period when I felt completely drained, both emotionally and spiritually. Life felt overwhelming, and I was running on empty. It was during this time that I truly understood what it meant for God's Word to be my daily bread. Picking up my Bible, even for just a few minutes each morning, became my lifeline. Those verses weren't just words on a page; they were like morsels of sustenance, filling a hunger I didn't even fully realize I had. They brought comfort when I was anxious, clarity when I was confused, and strength when I felt weak. It was a personal revelation that this spiritual food was available to me every single day. This concept ties back directly to Matthew 4:4, which states, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God." This isn't about rejecting physical food, but elevating the importance of spiritual sustenance. Our souls have a hunger that no earthly pleasure or accomplishment can satisfy. Only the living Word of God can truly fill that void, bringing peace and purpose that lasts. For me, this means making a conscious effort to 'eat' this spiritual bread regularly. It's not always easy to carve out time, but I've found that consistency, even in small doses, makes an incredible difference. So, how do we 'eat' this bread daily? For me, it looks like a few things. Sometimes it's a quiet morning devotional, reading a passage and journaling my thoughts. Other days, it's meditating on a single verse throughout the day, letting it sink into my heart and mind. I also find immense value in listening to sermons or Christian podcasts that break down scripture, helping me to understand its richness in new ways. It's about actively engaging with the Word, allowing it to transform my thoughts and actions. Just like we prepare and "break the bread" for a meal, we need to actively engage with God's Word to truly understand and internalize it. This isn't just about passive reading; it's about chewing on it, digesting it, and letting it become a part of who we are. This daily feeding helps me stay grounded and reminds me of God's unchanging truth in a constantly shifting world. It equips me not only to face my own challenges but also to have something substantial to offer others. When my spirit is nourished, I find I have a greater capacity for compassion and wisdom, allowing me to truly "share the Word" from a place of genuine abundance. It's a continuous cycle: I receive nourishment from God, and then I'm empowered to share that life-giving bread with those around me who are spiritually hungry. This personal commitment to the Word ensures that when I do share, it comes from a place of deep, personal experience and not just empty words.
