“It Only Takes a Seed”
Matthew 17:20 ~
…If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
Some days, your faith doesn’t feel big.
It doesn’t feel bold.
It doesn’t feel mountain-moving.
It feels… small.
Quiet.
Maybe even barely there.
But Jesus never asked for big faith.
He asked for real faith.
A mustard seed kind of faith doesn’t look impressive in your hand…
but when it’s planted,
when it’s surrendered,
when it’s trusted to grow…
It becomes something powerful! 🙌🏼
So if all you’ve got today is a whisper of belief…
a tiny “God, I trust You”…
that’s enough!
Enough for God to work.
Enough for God to move.
Enough for God to grow something in you that will one day
stretch farther than you ever imagined.
Don’t underestimate what God can do with your little.
Because in His hands…
a seed becomes a story.
a prayer becomes a breakthrough.
and a moment of faith becomes a mountain moved. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Lord, thank You that I don’t have to have it all together. Even when my faith feels small, help me to trust that You are still working. Grow what You’ve planted inside of me. Strengthen my belief, steady my heart, and remind me that nothing is impossible with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🤍

Many of us struggle with feeling like our faith isn't enough—sometimes it feels so small, almost like a whisper. But this reflection on Matthew 17:20 reminds us that even faith as tiny as a mustard seed holds immense potential when placed in God's hands. In my own experience, embracing this kind of faith has brought profound peace and unexpected growth, especially during challenging times. I’ve noticed that when I surrender what little faith I have, it often grows stronger than I imagined possible. Like planting a seed in soil, nurturing our faith through prayer, scripture, and community lets it take root and flourish. It’s not about having grand convictions right away, but about trusting in the process God is orchestrating within us. This mindset helps when doubt creeps in or when life’s mountains seem immovable. Remembering that Jesus invited us to have real, even small faith encourages us to start right where we are—no matter how quiet or fragile our belief may feel. Moreover, the metaphor of the mustard seed faith becoming a story, a prayer becoming a breakthrough, and a moment of faith moving a mountain highlights how God multiplies what we bring humbly to Him. This empowers us to keep moving forward, knowing that our faith journey isn't about perfection but persistence. If you’re walking through a season of uncertainty or spiritual dryness, try embracing your mustard seed faith today. Speak even a tiny prayer of trust like “God, I trust You,” and watch how God works with your little to create something powerful and lasting. It's a reminder that nothing is impossible with God and every small step counted toward growth and transformation.
