Joshua 1:9 ~

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Fear has stopped more dreams than failure ever could! 🙌🏼

Fear tells us to stay comfortable.

Stay safe.

Stay where it’s familiar.

Stay where we can control everything.

But God rarely calls us to stay! 🙌🏼

He calls us to follow.

The disciples had to leave the shore.

Abraham had to leave his homeland.

Peter had to step out of the boat.

And Jesus carried His cross up a hill called Calvary! 🙌🏼

Throughout Scripture, God’s people moved forward by faith, not by certainty.

Friend, you may not know exactly how everything will unfold.

You may not have every answer.

You may not see the entire path.

But you do know Who is walking with you! 🙌🏼

The same God who carried you through yesterday is already standing in your tomorrow.

Don’t let fear convince you to camp where God has called you to climb!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Take the step.

Make the call.

Share the testimony.

Start the ministry.

Write the book.

Pray the prayer.

Trust God and move forward.

The mountain may look intimidating, but God didn’t bring you this far to leave you standing at the bottom.

He is calling you higher! 🙌🏼

Father, give me courage to move forward when fear tries to hold me back. Help me trust You more than I trust my doubts. Remind me that You are with me every step of the journey. Strengthen my faith, guide my path, and help me walk boldly into all that You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🤍

... Read moreFear can feel like a heavy weight that holds us back from achieving our dreams and embracing the full potential of life. From personal experience, I’ve realized that the battle between fear and faith is ongoing but mastering that balance is key to growth and fulfillment. The message from Joshua 1:9 — “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” — serves as a powerful reminder that courage is not the absence of fear, but the faith to move forward despite it. When I faced a major life decision, the fear of the unknown was overwhelming. Like many, I was tempted to stay safe where everything felt familiar. However, reflecting on biblical examples such as Abraham leaving his homeland and Peter stepping out of the boat, I found inspiration to trust beyond my doubts. These stories show that fear often keeps us camped at the bottom when we are meant to climb higher. In practical terms, moving forward with faith involves taking small, deliberate steps — making the call you’ve been postponing, sharing your story to inspire others, or starting a new project you feel called to. Each step strengthens trust in the journey and reminds you that you are not alone. God's presence goes with us, just as He carried His people throughout scripture. Overcoming fear also means embracing vulnerability and understanding that it’s okay not to have every answer or see the entire path ahead. Faith grows in uncertainty as we rely on God’s guidance rather than our own control. This trust restores peace and fuels courage to climb, even when the mountain looks intimidating. I encourage you to reflect on what steps of faith you might have been putting off. What mountain are you called to climb despite the fear? Remember, the same God who has been by your side yesterday is standing with you today and will lead you into your tomorrow. Choosing courage is choosing to move forward fearlessly, trusting that God’s plan is greater than our fears. If you focus on this daily spiritual nourishment — your ‘daily bread’ — fear loses its grip. Embracing faith over fear brings freedom to take the leap, step into your calling, and witness how courageous trust transforms life.
