Nothing better than an OREO POUNDCAKE 🍰
Growing up in the south, you know it was a great party or bbq when they had a pound cake sitting out on the table for dessert! What better way to eat a Pound cake then make it OREO flavored!!!!
Here’s how I made it:
Ingredients
For the Cake:
⭐️1 ½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
⭐️2 ¾ cups granulated sugar
⭐️6 large eggs
⭐️1 tablespoon vanilla extract
⭐️¾ cup sour cream
⭐️3 cups all-purpose flour
⭐️1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
⭐️½ teaspoon salt
⭐️20 Oreo cookies, crushed (leave some chunks for texture)
For the Vanilla Glaze:
⭐️1 ¼ cups powdered sugar
⭐️2–3 tablespoons milk (adjust for thickness)
⭐️1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⭐️Extra crushed Oreos for topping (optional)
Instructions
⭐️Prepare the Cake: Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Generously grease and flour your Bundt pan, making sure to get into all the grooves.
⭐️In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar on medium speed for about 4–5 minutes, until light and fluffy.
⭐️Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. Mix in the sour cream until smooth.
⭐️In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
⭐️Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos with a spatula, making sure they’re evenly distributed. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
⭐️Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. (Check around the 60-minute mark.)
⭐️Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15–20 minutes, then carefully invert it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
⭐️Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth and pourable. Once the cake is completely cooled, drizzle the glaze generously over the top. Finish with extra crushed Oreos for garnish (optional but amazing!).

What should I make next?
Pound cake is a beloved dessert, especially in Southern gatherings, where its rich, buttery flavor is a staple. The versatility of pound cake allows for endless flavoring options, and incorporating Oreos adds a delightful twist to this classic recipe. To further enhance the OREO flavor, you might consider serving it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Crushed Oreos sprinkled on top of the vanilla glaze not only amplifies the visual appeal but also provides a satisfying crunch that beautifully complements the soft texture of the cake. For an even more decadent experience, experiment with different Oreo varieties, like Red Velvet or Peanut Butter Creme. This will provide a unique flavor profile while keeping the essence of the classic pound cake. As you serve this delightful dessert, think about pairing it with a hot cup of coffee or a glass of milk for an unforgettable treat. Making Oreo Poundcake is perfect for any occasion, whether it's a family gathering, a birthday celebration, or just a sweet indulgence at home.
