I am so disappointed with this lemon8 challenge
After clicking open the challenge today it automatically opened up all my boxes. I had 121 surprise boxes so I was almost sure with that many I had a decent chance to get a good gift!
This sucks that I got 120 ai portraits 🥲 like honestly who wants 120 ai portraits. If I wanted to use ai I would just use ChatGPT not lemon8.
Definetly no longer interested in this challenge. I honestly believe this was the worst challenge they have posted yet. @Lemon8 US
You know that feeling when you're super excited about a challenge, especially one promising 'gifts,' and it just... falls flat? I completely get it after what happened with this Lemon8 challenge. It makes you wonder if every 'gift challenge' is just a setup for disappointment. But here's the thing: while some online challenges might leave you with a pile of AI portraits instead of a Dyson Hair Dryer or a shiny new iPad, doing a gift challenge with friends in real life can be incredibly fun and rewarding! I've learned that the key to a successful gift exchange with your pals is all about setting expectations and focusing on the shared experience. Forget the mystery boxes that might give you 120 of the same digital item; let's talk about how to make a gift challenge truly special. One of my favorite ways to do a gift challenge with friends is a good old-fashioned themed exchange. Instead of just any gift, we pick a theme – like 'cozy night in,' 'tech gadgets under $50,' or 'sustainable finds.' This makes shopping more focused and ensures everyone gets something they might actually enjoy. Imagine unwrapping a cute throw blanket, a mini Marshall speaker, or even a thoughtful gift card to your favorite coffee shop, instead of another AI selfie! Another brilliant idea is to do an 'experience gift' challenge. Instead of physical items, you and your friends challenge each other to gift an experience. This could be anything from tickets to a local event, a cooking class together, or even just planning a fun day trip. These moments create lasting memories, which, let's be honest, are way more valuable than any virtual animated picture. And for those who love a bit of competition, a DIY gift challenge can be hilarious and heartwarming. Everyone has to create a handmade gift, and then you vote on the most creative, funniest, or most thoughtful. It’s not about the monetary value; it's about the effort and love put in. To avoid the kind of disappointment I faced, make sure you and your friends agree on a few crucial points before starting any gift challenge: Budget: Set a clear price range. Gift Type: Decide if it's physical, experiential, or handmade. No 'AI Portrait chance' allowed unless explicitly agreed upon! Transparency: Maybe reveal what types of gifts are off-limits or *highly desired*. If you're dreaming of a MacBook Air, make sure everyone knows the general vibe! The point is, a gift challenge with friends should be about connection, fun, and thoughtful exchanges, not about random digital rewards that leave you feeling ripped off. My experience was a real eye-opener, reminding me that sometimes, the simplest, most human interactions bring the most joy. So, next time you're thinking of a challenge, gather your friends and make it a genuinely rewarding one!
