One of the best tips I’ve learned when making cookies with chocolate chunks and mini Reese’s is to chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This helps the cookies hold their shape better and prevents spreading too thin. I also recommend using high-quality chocolate chunks and real Reese’s minis if you want that authentic peanut butter-flavored burst in every bite. When folding in the dry ingredients into the creamed butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla, be careful not to over-mix — just 80% combined works perfectly to keep the cookies light and tender. Ensure you space the cookie dough scoops at least 2 inches apart on the parchment-lined baking sheet. This prevents them from merging into one large cookie while baking. The 10-11 minutes bake time at 350°F is crucial—watch for the edges turning golden as a sign of perfect doneness. Your oven may vary, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the first batch. For an extra touch, sprinkle a few more mini Reese’s pieces on top of the dough balls before baking. Once baked, let cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes to firm up before transferring them to a wire rack. These cookies are a wonderful treat to share at gatherings or enjoy as an indulgent snack. Happy baking!
