🚨Warning: May Cause Food Coma 🚨
These meals that I made right here are those “put you in a food coma” type meals 😂😂😂
We have:
Birria con consume tacos: these tacos right here have been my favorite tacos to eat for the past 4 years! With a freshly squeezed lime on top and a big dip in the sauce it’s just the best
“Copycat” Olive Garden Alfredo: this will always be a comfort meal for me because when I have low energy or just need something super filling this meal.
Baked ziti: now this is just a meal that will forever be on rotation ESPECIALLY in the summer when tomatoes are in full fling! I make a homemade pasta sauce with ground beef, boil some pasta and combine it with shredded cheese and bake until it has a golden layer of cheese!
“Copycat” Big Macs at home: for some odd reason I have had the biggest craving for a McDonald’s big man to the point where I was buying like 3 a week! So when I was doing no spend February I learned how to make the Big Mac sauce at home and saved some money by making them at home! So delicious and worth every bite
If you’re anything like me, sometimes you just crave meals that leave you utterly stuffed and fully content—almost to the point of a food coma. The key to achieving that blissful fullness is balancing rich flavors with hearty ingredients that comfort both your taste buds and your soul. One of my personal go-to dishes is birria con consume tacos. The slow-cooked, tender meat bathed in a flavorful consommé creates a combination that’s simply unbeatable. Adding a squeeze of fresh lime just brightens every bite and adds a zing that keeps things exciting. Plus, dipping these tacos in the rich consommé makes each mouthful extra indulgent. Another staple is my copycat Olive Garden Alfredo. This creamy pasta is ideal for days when you need an energy boost or just some cozy comfort food. Its rich, velvety sauce clings to perfectly cooked pasta—comforting and filling all at once. It’s surprisingly straightforward to make at home, which can save you money while delivering big on flavor. When the summer tomatoes are ripe and juicy, I love making baked ziti. My homemade sauce, simmered with ground beef and fresh herbs, pairs perfectly with al dente pasta and layers of gooey cheese baked to golden perfection. It’s a classic that always hits the spot and keeps me coming back for seconds. For those moments when fast food cravings hit hard, I found making copycat Big Macs at home to be a total game changer. Learning to recreate that iconic Big Mac sauce saved me from splurging on takeout and let me enjoy the familiar flavors fresh from my own kitchen. It’s fun, satisfying, and ideal for budget-friendly comfort eating. In my experience, creating these filling meals at home not only satisfies your hunger but also delivers the joy of cooking and personalizing dishes to your liking. The richness of the flavors combined with thoughtful ingredient choices helps build those perfect “food coma” moments we all love—when you’re happily full, relaxed, and ready to enjoy the rest of your day.
