This is one of my favorite quick meals when I want something flavorful but don’t want to spend all night cooking. Just cook the chicken, pour in the sauce, let it simmer, and dinner is done. I served mine over rice with naan and it tasted like takeout at home.
Perfect for busy nights, lazy dinners, or when you need something quick but still homemade.

Using Aldi's Butter Chicken Curry Sauce, which features a creamy tomato base with spices like smoked paprika, really simplifies the cooking process without sacrificing authentic flavor. The trick I use to get the most out of the sauce is adding heavy whipping cream directly into the jar after pouring some into the pan, then shaking it to mix all the remnants—this helps extract every bit of flavorful sauce from the can.
I usually cook the chicken pieces until they're nicely browned before adding the sauce, allowing the meat to seal in its juices. Then, while the sauce simmers for about 10 to 15 minutes, I prepare some fragrant basmati rice and warm up garlic naan bread. The combination reminds me of a takeout meal but without the wait or the cost.
One tip I’ve learned for an even richer taste is to gently sauté some garlic and ginger in the oil before adding the chicken. This doesn't add much time but boosts the aroma and flavor of the dish significantly. Also, this recipe is very versatile—you can swap out chicken for tofu or vegetables if you want a vegetarian option.
Overall, this dish is perfect for anyone needing a quick, delicious meal that feels indulgent yet comes together with minimal prep and cooking time. It’s ideal for those who crave homemade comfort food without spending hours in the kitchen.
I guess the only place to get this sauce is Aldi‘s?.. OK that’s where I will go🥰
