How long did it take!??
I started my weightloss/fitness journey July 2022 and haven’t looked back since!
It was the first time ever I was starting without a short term date or reason! I wasn’t losing weight for an event, vacation or summer lol.
I didn’t have an end date in mind. I was changing my ways, losing weight and getting stronger for LIFE itself. I feel like that is what helped me. I didn’t give myself unrealistic expectations of “losing 20 pounds in 2 weeks” or let’s lose a million pounds in 3 months.
Real talk. It didn’t take me 2 weeks or 3 months to gain the extra weight so it wasn’t going to only take 2 weeks to lose it. 👏 I actually stayed away from the scale at first. I did weigh myself to start but I wasn’t going to obsess over it.
I told myself if I’m drinking water, walking, and focusing on eating my protein consistently then the weight will come off. Weightloss is a scientific formula. That’s the truth.
It’s about the calories you’re eating and the calories you’re burning.
Anyways. Back to the question.. 😅 it took a long time. It took a year for me to get to my “goal”.
But guess what.. the year flew by and I felt better than I had felt in a decade. 👏
The journey is worth it. I promise!
