How I Grew My Hair!

Tips: Protective styles, moisture, quality products with good, clean ingredients, and vitamins!!!

Vitamins I take that I believe have helped this year: Collagen and D3… and occasionally one of my kid’s multivitamins🤣… I do take Mary Ruth Liquid Vitamin or a prenatal when I remember.

Planning to incorporate Iron and B-12 to help reduce excessive shedding post-protective styles.

I also take Ashwagandha. I don’t think this helps with hair growth, but it keeps me calm and my anxiety low. Therefore, I’m not picking at my hair.

I also do amino acid-based smoothing treatments every 3-4 months. This helps my hair to be more manageable; therefore, less breakage.

Hair goal for 2025: grow and retain at least 4 inches of hair. Get rid of most of my split ends. Deep condition my hair more. Get at least two professional trims (I trim my hair for the most part with shears).

Hair type: Fine 4A (3C after a smoothing treatment)

The shedding can vary in intensity and duration, leading many to seek effective remedies. To combat hair thinning, maintaining a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals is crucial. Incorporating foods high in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon, chia seeds, and flaxseeds, can nourish hair follicles. Additionally, biotin-rich foods like eggs, nuts, and avocados can support hair growth. Supplements, particularly collagen and vitamin D, play a significant role in enhancing hair health and minimizing breakage. It’s essential to choose hair care practices that promote strength and protection. Regular deep-conditioning treatments can help restore moisture and prevent further damage. Protective hairstyles, like braids or buns, can shield hair from environmental stressors, reducing the likelihood of breakage. Moreover, consulting with a healthcare professional regarding hair loss can provide tailored advice based on individual health conditions. Mindfulness practices like yoga and meditation may also help manage stress, which can negatively impact hair growth. By focusing on these strategies, many women find success in restoring their hair's fullness and vitality after pregnancy.
