"Confessions of a Sorcerer" Review | The Ghost Movies That Look Finished Are Not Afraid of Ghosts... But More Afraid of "People"
This is a movie of hallucination, superstition, resentment, and what I feel is very prominent is "the dark side of man."
The movie tells of his involvement in the world of superstition and black magic, which is not only used for horror, but also reflects that when people have resentment, greed, or need something, we may do whatever it takes to get it.
And this is how I feel scarier than ghosts!
👤 The hero. - Very good show.
What I really like is the performance of the hero, because it makes us see the humanity of the character very clearly.
He was grateful, loved his mother and valued his family.
So when the character comes across stories, we feel so supportive and understand why he's so driven that he decides to walk into a darker, darker world.
I like that characters are not "perfect good people," but ordinary people with love, resentment, pain, and false decisions.
🥃, the hero's father - Amarin Nitipol, performed so well that he "really hated it."
This character, I must say...
"Brother Amarin acted too well!" 😂
Because the hero's father is a heavy alcoholic, so that his needs are more important than his family.
I feel angry, frustrated and really hate the character.
What movies do well is show us that "alcoholism" does not only hurt the drinker, but also destroys his peers and family relationships.
And this character makes me feel...
Some people sell everything, even their families, in exchange for what they want.
This is one of the characters I feel very "played to."
😡 Uncle Sak - A character that makes it look hot-headed.
The other person I feel is terrible is Uncle Sak, because of his behavior that affects and hurts the hero's family.
This character shows us that not only are "ghosts" evil, but that humans can inflict wounds on each other.
👻 my favorite thing about this movie.
For me, the movie is not asking
"Are ghosts scary?"
But I'm asking...
"If humans can control their souls, what will we use them for?"
Because in stories, ghosts or spirits are used to satisfy human needs, whether it's revenge, superstition, retribution, or the use of the supernatural to get what they want.
And this is what I feel is the core of the story.
When people have enough resentment,
What will we do?
When people need something enough,
What will we exchange?
And when we get power that shouldn't exist,
Will we be able to control ourselves?
🔥 Summary of the feelings after watching
Personally, I really like this.
Like the hero's performance
Like the best of the father character
Like the frustration of Uncle Sak. 😂
And like most, the point is that the movie doesn't just tell about ghosts, it takes us to look at the darkness in the human mind.
From the reviews and online releases I've been looking for, many people talk about dark, mystery, and storytelling that doesn't rely on Jump Scare, but also uses the atmosphere and knots of the characters to create hallucinations.
For me, this isn't just...
👻 "ghost movie."
But it's the movie that makes us think
"Perhaps the scariest thing is not the soul... but the infinite human need."
⭐ Personal rating: 9 / 10
Who can watch and talk?
Which character do you think in the story is "the scariest"? 👻
