Austin Restaurants i’ve tried this year so far 🫶
1. Honey Moon
Overall rating: 8/10
Great burger, sweet + savory and Great drinks! Loveeed the fries, it is a bit on the pricier end but great for a nice first date and go during happy hour for good priced drinks!! (they’re still pretty strong)
2. BussinBuns
Overall rating: 9/10
Soooo good i’d get hot if you like a good kick, i feel they could add a tad bit more salt but other than that, the flavor, the sauce, amazing.
3. Juicy Crab
Overall rating: 10/10
You already know.
4. Joann’s
Overall rating: 6/10
The restaurant itself is very cute, and it’s in a great location on South Congress, however the food wasn’t very seasoned, and i do believe this restaurant is great for the expierence more so than the food. It’s pricey but their appetizers are pretty good, along with their drinks if you want to have a cute snack time!
5. Culinary Drop out
Overall rating: 7/10
The korean beef was very tender, and loved that. The crispy rice however, was a put mushy in the middle, maybe that was the goal, but it didn’t seem right? The bolognese was okay, it lacked a bit of flavor but the diversity on the menu is great for picky eaters
6. Dongnai
Overall rating: 10/10
Best Pho and Vietnamese restaurant in austin hands down
These are my honest opinions, and I do encourage people to check them out for themselves, as not everyone may feel the same as me, but they’re all great places! ❤️

Austin is renowned for its vibrant culinary scene, making it a must-visit for food lovers. This year, I explored several standout restaurants, each offering a unique dining experience. One of the highlights was Honey Moon, known for its delicious burgers and lively atmosphere, especially during happy hour when drinks are affordably priced. With a rating of 8/10, it's perfect for a casual yet memorable first date. Another top contender is BussinBuns, where the flavor combinations are exceptional, making it a favorite for those who enjoy a spicy kick in their meals. Juicy Crab impressed me with its perfectly steamed seafood, earning a perfect score of 10/10. For a charming experience, Joann's offers a picturesque setting on South Congress, although the food was a bit under-seasoned, it's a great spot for snacks and drinks. Culinary Dropout offered diverse options, though some dishes could use more flavor. Lastly, Dongnai stands out as the best spot for Pho, delivering authenticity and flavor that left a lasting impression. When in Austin, these restaurants highlight the city’s dynamic food culture worth exploring!
