Recent Kindle reads 🎧 📚
I’m starting to pick back up with reading now that I’ve graduated and I thought would share some of my recent reads here every once in a while. Let me know if you’ve read any of these and what you think!
Magnolia Parks 🛍️ ✨ 6.6/10
- This was a good book and very easy to follow. I liked the format it was written in, going back and forth between the two main characters each chapter. It gave very much Gossip Girl vibes, but to me kind of fell flat. I also did not realize this was a series before I started this book. I believe this is the first one in the series, but I’m not sure I will continue reading the rest of the books. I wish I would’ve liked this one more, but it did have a little twist at the end.
The Last Mrs. Parrish 🥀 8.7/10
- I really enjoyed the concept of this book and I feel like it kept me on my toes! For a more experienced reader, the twists and turns might have felt more obvious but I truly had no idea they were coming. I need to read the follow up book to this for sure. It’s crazy how you are somehow also rooting for the “bad” character in this book at times.
The Scent Keeper 🐚 8.1/10
- This book was very interesting and I feel like I never knew where the next chapter was leading me. It was not one of my favorite reads, but I did like the ending quite a a bit. It was a slow start at first.
The Night Swim 🌊 7.7/10
- I actually listened to this book on audible one day while I deep cleaned my apartment (highly recommend doing that). I liked the podcast component of this book and it reminded me slightly of Only Murders in the Building in that way which I LOVE. I know that the letters from Hannah are important for the plot of Jenny, but those chapters were almost the most boring parts of the whole book. It all came full circle in the end, but I’m not sure I loved the ending.
That’s all for now :) let me know what you think! 🤍🍋
