Growing up, I was often reminded to eat everything on my plate and wear what was affordable—simple lessons that taught me to value what I have rather than crave what I do not. In contrast, some people who are spoiled may struggle to appreciate these small blessings, leading to unrealistic expectations and dissatisfaction. In my experience, being spoiled often comes from not facing challenges or scarcity during childhood. When everything is readily available and given without effort, it’s easy to develop entitlement rather than appreciation. However, overcoming this mindset requires conscious effort. One practical approach I've found helpful is to focus on gratitude daily, taking a moment to acknowledge what I have rather than what I lack. This practice not only fosters humility but also reduces feelings of frustration and entitlement.
