Hey fellow Trainers! I'm so hyped to share all the juicy details about the Pokémon GO Holiday Part 2 event, running from December 22nd to December 27th! If you're anything like me, you've probably been dreaming of adding a beautiful shiny Wooloo to your collection, and this is our best chance yet! I've been poring over all the event info, and here's my game plan and tips to make the most of it. First things first: Shiny Wooloo! Yes, you read that right. During this event, we have an increased chance to encounter Wooloo (and its evolution, Dubwool) in their adorable holiday attire, and yes, their shiny forms are available! To maximize your chances, focus on areas with high wild spawns, and definitely pop those Incense! According to the event details, Wooloo in holiday attire will be appearing more frequently through Incense Encounters on specific dates. I'm stocking up on Incense now to get a head start! Also, keep an eye out for the Paid Timed Research, as it offers encounters with Wooloo in holiday attire, which could be another shot at that elusive shiny. But wait, there’s more than just Wooloo! This event also marks the shiny debut of Cetoddle in one-star raids, so if you're like me and love collecting new shinies, make sure to raid those! And for the hardcore raiders, Giratina (Altered Forme) is also making its shiny debut in five-star raids starting December 26th. That’s a huge incentive to gather your raid groups! Don't forget about Mega Raids too, with Mega Latios and Mega Abomasnow appearing – great for getting Mega Energy. Beyond the shinies, the event bonuses are incredible. We're getting 2x Catch XP and a massive +50% Raid Battle XP! This is a golden opportunity to level up fast. For the catch XP, I plan to use Lucky Eggs while catching everything in sight, especially during Community Day hours or when using Incense/Lure Modules. For Raid XP, try to do as many raids as possible, especially the higher-tier ones, to really see those numbers climb. Let's talk encounters! The wild is brimming with festive Pokémon. Besides Wooloo, we'll see Alolan Rattata, Murkrow, Galarian Zigzagoon, Blitzle, Vanillite, Tynamo, and Absol. It’s a great mix for diverse catches and potentially more shinies. Keep your eyes peeled for those shiny checks! For raids, beyond Cetoddle and Giratina, you can find Alolan Vulpix in one-star raids, and Snorlax and Toucannon in three-star raids. These are all great for filling your Pokedex or finding strong Pokémon for battles. And don't forget the Paid Timed Research for US$5.00! It offers some fantastic rewards like a Glacial Lure Module, Incense, and an exclusive Wooloo Jacket for your avatar. Plus, there are always Field Research tasks and Collection Challenges to complete, which are usually fun and offer more rewards. New Avatar Items are also usually a cute way to celebrate the event! So, get ready, Trainers! Charge your phones, stock up on Poké Balls, and make sure your item bag is ready for all the goodies.
