Ogden, you’ve got my heart! Can’t wait for the next trip filled with work and wonder! 🌟✨
Ogden, Utah, truly holds a special place in my heart! Every visit reveals something new, and I always leave feeling refreshed by its unique blend of rugged outdoor beauty and charming historical character. If you're planning an outdoorsy Ogden itinerary, you're in for a treat, especially during the summer. Let's talk about the Ogden Botanical Gardens first, as it's such a gem and often a highlight for visitors. My experience there was incredibly peaceful. It’s not just a collection of plants; it's a thoughtfully designed landscape with various themed sections, each offering a different atmosphere. You can wander through rose gardens, enjoy a tranquil water feature, or simply find a bench to take in the stunning mountain views that frame the entire area. It’s perfect for a leisurely morning stroll or an afternoon picnic. I've seen local artists sketching there, and it's easy to understand why – the natural beauty is truly inspiring, a fantastic escape right within the city. For those craving more adventure, the areas around Pineview Reservoir offer endless possibilities for an active summer day. Beyond just admiring the scenic views, consider exploring some of the hiking and biking trails that wind through the surrounding mountains. I've found some incredible spots for panoramic vistas after a moderate hike. The Ogden Canyon Waterfall, a true natural splash zone, is even more impressive in late spring or early summer when the snowmelt feeds its powerful flow. And don't overlook the 21st Street Pond; it's a surprisingly serene spot for a casual walk or a bit of birdwatching. Downtown Ogden Utah has a vibrant energy that beautifully mixes its rich history with modern appeal. While Historic 25th Street with its charming shops and eateries is a must-see, take some time to explore the side streets. I loved discovering the unique finds at Mercantile on 25th, though fair warning, they do close early! The area around Union Station is not just historically significant; it's also a hub for museums and cultural exhibits. You might even stumble upon a local festival or farmers market, especially if you visit during the summer months. There’s a palpable sense of community and pride in the downtown area that makes it very welcoming. Speaking of summer in Ogden, Utah, the weather is usually fantastic – clear, sunny days perfect for outdoor exploration. However, it's always a good idea to pack layers, as evenings can get cool, especially after a day spent up in the canyons. Staying hydrated is also crucial with all the activities available. Keep an eye out for local events; Ogden often hosts outdoor concerts, art fairs, and community gatherings that add an extra layer of fun to your trip. Whether you're savoring a treat from Farr Better Ice Cream or grabbing a coffee from Daily Rise, Ogden makes for a memorable trip.

There are also fun bars if you drink or even go to bars that is. An awesome Arcade bar where every Sunday there’s free pinball tournaments it’s fun as hell. Got super drunk on my birthday and having a blast playing pinballs (they have other games but pinballs are their specialty) so much fun. Affordable beers too 🍻
