Hi! I’m Michaela!

Hey everyone! Since so many of you are curious about who I am, I wanted to share a little more about my world. As I mentioned, I’m Michaela, a 31-year-old navigating the beautiful chaos of being a wife and a mom to two amazing littles. We’re based in New York, and while it’s a bustling place, I’ve found so much joy in building our family life here. Being new to Lemon8, I’m genuinely excited to connect with all of you. My goal here is to create a space where I can share authentic glimpses into my life, from my everyday routines to my favorite discoveries. I’m a big believer in accessible skincare and makeup that makes you feel good, not just look good. I’ll be sharing my tried-and-true products, easy routines for busy moms, and maybe even some fun hauls. Beyond beauty, my passion for books is something I can’t wait to dive into with you. Whether it’s a captivating thriller, a heartwarming contemporary romance, or a thought-provoking non-fiction title, I love getting lost in a good story. I often get asked how I find time to read with two kids, and I’m planning to share my tips for fitting reading into a busy schedule – even if it’s just a few pages before bed! I’d also love to hear your recommendations and start some mini virtual book clubs. Of course, motherhood is a huge part of my identity. It’s a journey filled with so much love, laughter, and learning. I’m not here to pretend I have all the answers, but I want to share my honest experiences – the highs, the lows, and everything in between. From navigating toddler tantrums to finding moments of calm amidst the chaos, I hope to offer a relatable perspective. We can chat about parenting hacks, kid-friendly activities, and how to maintain a sense of self while raising a family. And for me, everything truly comes back to my faith. My relationship with Jesus guides me through all aspects of life, and I find immense strength and peace in it. While I won’t be preachy, I’ll occasionally share how my faith influences my perspectives on motherhood, self-care, and simply living a joyful life. It’s a core part of who I am, and I believe it enriches every other area of my life.
