My goal during my trip was to truly spend two weeks immersing myself in both the city's iconic highlights and some lesser-known gems, all while enjoying a touch of luxury. My adventure truly kicked off with exploring the vibrant heart of Dubai. A typical first week for many, and certainly for me, involved soaking in the sights of Downtown Dubai. Imagine standing beneath the towering Burj Khalifa, exploring the vast Dubai Mall, and witnessing the mesmerizing Dubai Fountain shows. For accommodation, I can't recommend enough looking into properties affiliated with Marriott Bonvoy and Hilton. The service is truly unparalleled, and the comfort they offer makes a huge difference when you're looking for a luxurious escape. If you're considering ultimate indulgence, look into places like the Waldorf Astoria; their attention to detail and exquisite amenities are superb, making every moment feel special. The second week often takes travelers to Abu Dhabi, and it's a must-visit! Yas Island, with its thrilling attractions like Ferrari World and Warner Bros. World, is a fantastic full-day (or even two-day) affair. I recommend dedicating plenty of time there to fully enjoy the rides and experiences. Beyond the theme parks, don't miss the majestic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque – it’s absolutely stunning and a true highlight of any trip to the UAE. We also carved out time to explore other cultural sites and enjoy some relaxing downtime by the beautiful beaches. For those *two weeks in the UAE*, don't forget to venture into the desert! A desert safari, complete with exhilarating dune bashing, serene camel riding, and a magical starlit dinner, is an unforgettable experience that offers a different perspective of the landscape. You can also discover the older, more traditional parts of Dubai, like the Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood (Bastakiya Quarter), and take an iconic abra ride across Dubai Creek to explore the bustling spice and gold souks. It’s a wonderful contrast to the modern skyscrapers and gives you a glimpse into the city's rich heritage. One of my best tips for anyone planning to spend two weeks here is to plan your transport. While taxis are readily available, Dubai's Metro is incredibly efficient for reaching many popular spots. Also, consider booking popular tours and experiences, like the desert safari or unique dining reservations, in advance, especially if you're traveling during peak season. Staying hydrated is key, and dressing respectfully, particularly when visiting religious sites, is important. Enjoying the incredible culinary scene, from gourmet fine dining to delectable local street food, was another huge highlight for me. Make sure to try some traditional Emirati dishes! My two weeks in the UAE felt like a dream, filled with unforgettable moments and amazing hospitality. Truly a trip of a lifetime!
