Homemade Reece’s Cups

#emergingcreator #embracevulnerability #Lemon8 #homemade #dessert

Combine

1/4 cup flour

1 cup of peanut butter

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla

Pinch of salt

Combine In a microwave safe bowl

1 cup of choc chips

1 tsp coconut oil

1. Place bowl in microwave until chocolate chips and coconut oil are melted. Stir together.

2. This next part works better with a small muffin silicone mold but does well with parchment paper as well. Place a baking sheet under either option.

3. If you have a muffin mold place enough of the chocolate to cover the bottom of each small muffin. If no mold place a spoonful of chocolate in small circles on parchment paper

4. Place in freezer for 15 minutes

5. Take out of freezer. Place enough peanut butter in each muffin mold to almost fill each one. If doing this on parchment paper place about the same amount of peanut butter on top of each chocolate circle.

6. Use the rest of the melted chocolate and cover the peanut butter.

7. Place back in freezer for 15 minutes

8. Enjoy!!

... Read moreMaking homemade Reese’s cups is a rewarding and fun process that allows you to customize the classic peanut butter and chocolate treat exactly to your liking. One tip I've found helpful is to use natural peanut butter without added sugar or salt to control the sweetness and saltiness of the final product. Also, the choice of chocolate chips matters — semi-sweet or dark chocolate gives a richer flavor, while milk chocolate keeps it sweeter and creamier. Using silicone muffin molds not only helps maintain shape but also makes it easy to pop out each cup once set. If you're short on molds, parchment paper works fine; just be sure to freeze the chocolate circles thoroughly before adding peanut butter to keep the layers separate. I usually add a pinch of sea salt on top of the final chocolate layer before freezing again. This adds a delightful salty crunch that complements the sweet and nutty flavors. Another variation you can try is mixing chopped nuts or crispy rice into the peanut butter layer to add texture. Don’t rush the freezing steps. Letting each chocolate or peanut butter layer set well in the freezer ensures clean layers and prevents mixing. Once fully frozen, store these treats in an airtight container in the freezer or fridge — they stay fresh and delicious for at least a week. This recipe is great for anyone looking to make a quick homemade dessert without complicated baking, and it’s perfect for sharing or gifting. Enjoy the process and feel free to experiment with sweeteners like honey instead of maple syrup or different nut butters to make it your own delicious creation!
