✨SWINGING PENDULUM✨

🌀 How do moms do it? 🌀

Some days I’m the girl you see in the first clip —breaking down, overwhelmed, ashamed of the skin I’m in. Other days I am joyful, happy, and ready to see what the day brings.

In the in between I’m taking abilify & AT ALL TIMES I am a mother.

Today is one of those days where I do not feel like superwoman. I feel penetrable and weak. I’m posting this so those who might feel the same know — you are never alone.

... Read moreMotherhood is truly a rollercoaster of emotions. From my personal experience, some days I wake up feeling invincible, ready to tackle whatever the day throws at me. Other days, like the author describes, I find myself overwhelmed and struggling to maintain composure. What really stands out is the honesty about taking medication such as Abilify — acknowledging mental health openly is so important for breaking stigma among moms. Balancing feelings of vulnerability with the demands of motherhood requires immense courage. I remember one particular day when my emotions swung wildly, and I doubted my ability to be the 'supermom' everyone expects. What helped me was allowing myself to accept that it's okay to have imperfect days. Sharing these moments with a community, whether online or offline, creates a connection that reminds us we aren’t alone. Additionally, embracing our bodies and feelings without shame—highlighted in hashtags like #embraceyourmidsection and #vulnerabilityissexy—is essential. It fosters self-love and helps combat the common pressures moms face about appearance and emotional strength. If you’re navigating similar struggles, know that sharing your story, seeking support, and focusing on mental wellness can transform these pendulum swings from exhausting to empowering.
