Dressing in your 30’s

I had been feeling super self conscious of wearing certain stuff to the gym. I felt like I was too old ??? I think its because on social media we mainly see a specific body type as “fitness inspo” and I dont see myself there but one day I woke up and decided, I can change that 💫

I can dress how I want to, however I feel confident and comfortable specially at the gym. So here are some outfits Ive been absolutely loving 🩷

I totally get that feeling of walking into the gym and suddenly feeling like you're not 'fitting in' or that your clothes aren't quite right, especially when you hit your 30s. Social media often bombards us with a very specific image of 'fitness inspo,' and it's easy to feel like you don't measure up. But you know what? That mindset is a total confidence killer, and we deserve to feel amazing every time we work out! My journey to finding confident gym wear in my 30s has been all about shifting my focus from what I should wear to what makes me feel comfortable and strong. It's not about hiding or striving for an unrealistic 'curvy toned' ideal; it's about celebrating your body and dressing it in activewear that supports your goals and boosts your mood. Forget those fleeting trends and embrace what truly works for *you*. So, how can you revamp your gym wardrobe to feel fantastic? Here are some of my favorite tips: 1. Prioritize Comfort & Functionality: This is non-negotiable. If your shorts ride up, your top is itchy, or your leggings restrict movement, you won't enjoy your workout. I've found that investing in quality fabrics that wick sweat and offer good stretch makes a huge difference. For shorts, I love options like ribbed shorts or even patterned shorts that add a bit of fun. Don't be afraid to try different lengths and cuts – some days I'm all about magenta shorts, other days it's classic dark brown or even playful maroon. 2. Embrace Versatile Pieces: Mix and match! An oversized t-shirt can be incredibly comfortable and stylish over leggings or bike shorts. I often pair a simple white graphic t-shirt with colorful bottoms. And don't underestimate the power of a good athletic romper – they're a game-changer for a quick, put-together look, like my favorite dark green one. 3. Accessorize Smartly: A baseball cap (pink, black, or any color!) can not only hide a bad hair day but also add a cool, sporty vibe. Good white socks and sneakers are essential for both support and style. It's those little details that can tie an outfit together and make you feel more polished. 4. Find Your Own Inspiration (Beyond the Feed): Instead of comparing yourself to perfectly posed influencers, look for inspiration that resonates with your real life. Follow fitness creators who celebrate diverse body types and focus on strength and well-being. Think about what makes you feel good. Maybe it's a vibrant mint green crop top, or perhaps you feel more powerful in a sleek black t-shirt. The goal here isn't to copy, but to get ideas that you can adapt to your unique style. 5. Confident 'Shorts Selfies' - It's All About the Vibe: If you love taking mirror selfies in your gym shorts, go for it! The key is to focus on feeling good in your skin. Play with angles – sometimes a slightly turned pose or a dynamic shot can highlight your hard work in a way that feels empowering. Remember, your gym outfits are a reflection of your journey, not just your body. So, rock those black ruched sweatpants or those dark brown shorts with pride and snap that selfie!
