BOMBSHELL BLOWOUT
Take out my rollers with me 🎀 #roller #hairstyles #hairblowout #blowoutstyle
I used to struggle so much getting that perfect, bouncy bombshell blowout, especially with my super long hair! It always fell flat or just looked like messy curls. But after tons of trial and error (and watching countless YouTube videos!), I finally cracked the code, and guess what? Rollers are my secret weapon! My original post shows me taking them out, but let me tell you how I get them in and what I do to achieve that incredible volume and lasting style, just like those Victoria's Secret models. First things first, preparation is key. I start with freshly washed hair, then rough-dry it until it's about 80% dry. This is crucial because if your hair is too wet, it won't hold the style, and if it's too dry, it won't mold correctly. Before I even think about heat, I apply a generous amount of heat protectant and a volumizing mousse, focusing on the roots. This gives my hair the extra oomph it needs, especially for that desired big hair look. Now, onto the rollers themselves. For that true bombshell blowout, I swear by a mix of large and medium Velcro rollers. Hot rollers can work too, but I find cold rollers give a softer, bouncier finish that looks more natural. I section my hair starting from the crown, taking about 1-2 inch sections. The trick for maximum volume is to over-direct each section up and forward before rolling it down and under. Make sure the ends are tucked in neatly to avoid any kinks. For the sides and back, I roll them away from my face. The front sections are the most important for that 'face-framing' volume, so I make sure they are rolled tightly and directly upwards. Once all the rollers are in – which can take a bit of practice, especially with super long hair! – I give them a blast with a hairdryer on a cool setting. This helps to set the curl and lock in the volume. Then, I leave them in for at least 30 minutes, or even longer if I have the time. Sometimes, I even do my makeup while they set. Patience here is a virtue! The magic moment: taking them out! As you saw in my quick video, gentle removal is key. I always unroll them slowly, in the opposite direction they were rolled, starting from the bottom. Never pull or tug! Once all the rollers are out, I usually let my hair cool completely for a few minutes. Then, for that iconic "big hair" look, I gently brush through with a wide-tooth comb or a soft paddle brush. Sometimes, I'll even flip my head over and give it a good shake. A light hold hairspray finishes the look, ensuring that gorgeous volume and bounce lasts all day (and sometimes even into the next!). Trust me, once you master this roller technique, you'll ditch your curling iron for good when you want that ultimate bombshell blowout!
